CIN (Community Initiatives Nepal) is dedicated to providing vital crisis support programs during natural or human-made disasters, offering a lifeline to affected communities in their time of need. These programs encompass a range of essential services tailored to address various aspects of the crisis:

i)  Psychological First Aid (PFA) Service:

CIN's PFA service focuses on providing immediate emotional and psychological support to individuals affected by disasters. This includes offering comfort, reassurance, and coping strategies to help individuals navigate the initial stages of trauma and distress.

ii)  Menstrual Hygiene Management Support during Disaster/Crisis:

Recognizing the unique challenges faced by women and girls during disasters, CIN provides essential support for menstrual hygiene management. This includes the distribution of menstrual hygiene products, access to clean and safe sanitation facilities, and educational resources to promote proper hygiene practices.

iii)  Sexual and Reproductive Health Management during Disaster/Crisis:

CIN ensures that sexual and reproductive health needs are not overlooked during crises. This involves providing access to reproductive health services, contraception, and maternal healthcare to safeguard the health and well-being of women and girls in affected areas.

iv)  Pro-bono Psychosocial Counseling Service to WHRDs/LBTIQA+HRDs:

CIN extends pro-bono psychosocial counseling services to Women Human Rights Defenders (WHRDs) and individuals from the Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer, Asexual (LBTIQA+) community who may face heightened vulnerabilities during disasters. This support helps mitigate the psychological impact of the crisis and fosters resilience among marginalized groups.

v)  Need-Based Support to Women/Girls/Children/Elderly/LBTIQA:

CIN provides need-based support to a diverse range of individuals affected by disasters, including women, girls, children, elderly individuals, and members of the LBTIQA community. This support may include access to emergency shelter, food, clean water, healthcare services, and other essential supplies tailored to meet the specific needs of each group.

Through its comprehensive crisis support programs, CIN strives to alleviate suffering, restore dignity, and empower communities to overcome adversity in the aftermath of disasters. By addressing the physical, emotional, and reproductive health needs of affected individuals, CIN plays a critical role in promoting resilience and recovery in disaster-affected communities.
